A tense, resilient vintage
The year began with a mild, wet winter, followed by a spring marked by late frost and heavy rain, favoring the development of mildew. The summer was relatively calm, but the harvest was delayed due to the slow ripening of the grapes in cool, rainy weather. Harvesting began at the end of September and continued until mid-October, with high disease pressure requiring rigorous sorting.
Wine characteristics
Despite these challenges, the wines of the 2024 vintage show great freshness and promising aromas. The whites offer pear and citrus notes, with characteristic tension. The reds, although more heterogeneous, show an intense color and aromas of red berries, particularly cherries. Tannins are measured and supple, thanks to vinification adapted to the year’s conditions.
