A balanced & expressive vintage
The year 2020 saw a mild winter and a relatively dry spring, with above-average temperatures. The summer was particularly hot and dry, with temperatures exceeding 40°C on several occasions, creating water stress in the vines. However, thunderstorms in August brought welcome relief, allowing the grapes to continue ripening in good conditions.
White wines: freshness and minerality
The white wines of the 2020 vintage stand out for their freshness, minerality and beautiful aromatic expression.For example, Château Poitevin Blanc 2020 has aromas of exotic fruit and citrus, with a balanced mouthfeel between acidity and roundness, and an elegant finish.
Red wines: structure and balance
The red wines of 2020 offer beautiful tannic structure, deep color and aromatic richness. Although the vintage was more favorable to the whites, the reds benefit from good grape maturity, guaranteeing well-balanced, expressive wines.
